Lunchtime Poll 11/23

As we approach the holiday season, we’re about to hear Carol of the Bells 9 gajillion times in the next four weeks, and that song with Bono wondering if kids in Africa even know it’s Christmastime at all, in that pretentious Bono way.  For today’s lunchtime poll, I want to know your favorite holiday song.  As an Indiana kid with sides of the family from both Purdue and IU, I always associate both their fight songs with the holidays.

Eartha Kitt’s “Santa Baby” always gets me singing along.
I ran sound for a play called “The Bench” in 2001 and there was a scene with a tin-foil-hat-wearing homeless person who sang “Oh Holy Night” like a freakin’ angel. I have loved that song ever since.

I used to have a Frank Sinatra Christmas CD (RIP) that had Go Tell It on the Mountain that is really good.
    Also, anything on Raffi Christmas.

Charlie Brown Christmas song, “Santa Baby”.
Creepiest song? “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus”. I learned it in kindergarten and thought there was something very, very wrong about that Mommy.
