“I Stand with Planned Parenthood” has been a common theme in this fight to retain reproductive rights, and at many of the rallies held today, supporters found some creative ways to express how they feel on the subject through their rally signs. Participants in various Walk for Choice events shared their favorite rally signs with us:

Yay! Thank you for posting the pictures I took at the Boston rally! The one of the woman holding the Planned Parenthood sign was my favorite from that day.
You took some great pictures! Thanks for letting us use them!
“Politicians make crappy doctors” and “I’m too old for this shit” are my favorites.
I was in Chicago and it was freezing, all these warm pictures are making me jealous!
But it was still inspiring to be there, despite the cold and snow.
These signs are all so great! I wish I could have been out there with y’all. Next time, next time.
All of these signs are awesome! I’m Canadian, and I believe the only Canadian walk was in Toronto which I was unable to attend. If there was a walk in Ottawa or close to it I would have been there supporting Planned Parenthood!
They are all awesome. Wish I could have been there, but I had to work.
My two faves from the NYC rally:
“It’s 2011. WTF.”
“Planned Parenthood. Don’t fuck with ‘em. Don’t fuck without ‘em.”
I saw one on Tumblr that said, “GOP out of OPP,” but I couldn’t track down whose photo it was. That one was great, though.
I posted a bunch of pictures on http://dearplannedparenthood.tumblr.com but I couldn’t post my favorite one since I didn’t get a clear picture… did anyone else at the NYC rally see the AWESOME “Republicans are such dicks” poster that was shaped like a penis?? It was so marvelous I spotted it from across the rally!
I liked this one a lot:

So awesome, my American sisters. As a Canadian, I’ve been watching this whole thing closely over the last few months. I especially like the sign “We already fought for this and won.” There is a law that protects your right to choose. For someone to speak to the contrary amounts to hate speech towards women and should be viewed in the same way as any other form of bigotry.
I am so glad to see these pictures!
You know what my dream is? To not have to be that woman holding the “I’m too old for this shit” sign in 30 years.
I loved the “I’m too old for this shit” woman. Something about that sign really hit home for me; like at 32, I don’t remember a time when my reproductive rights were really under attack before. But she does, and I just hope against hope that my generation and those younger will never really know that feeling. I can only imagine how tired and frustrated women who have already lived through this must feel.
I went and it was the first protest or demonstration I had ever attended. I’m very glad I did! I wish I had gotten better pictures, though. Next time, I’m forcing my husband to go so he can worry about taking all the pictures.
Awwww, @SpicyArmadillo! I’m so proud! Gold star for brand new activism! ♥
I went to the Boston Walk for Choice today and it was an amazing experience. I spend a lot of time yelling at my computer screen or yelling with my friends about these issues. But to come together with 1000+ people, stand in front of the state house and shout for our rights was a powerful feeling. It made me feel hopeful and it made me feel like we can win this fight.
I expected to encounter anti-choice protesters, but instead, when we walked into the Boston Common, people stopped along the footpaths to cheer us on.
I was also pleasantly surprised by how many men attended the event.
It was a beautiful day.
Hooray! I was in Boston too. The best thing was seeing people applaud and cheer and honk in support – I felt so hopeful, which was a welcome change from feeling absolutely powerless to do anything that would make even one bit of difference. And my boyfriend was one of the men! He had a great time too.
I ended up staying home because I had a big project to work on (there was a rally two hours north of me), but I wore my Planned Parenthood shirt and am living vicariously through all of you and your fantastic signs. I hate that protests like these are necessary, but it’s inspiring to see so many passionate people.
The signage at all of the Walk for Choice rallies was so inspired. I love how many internet memes leaked out into the real world. I salute you and your signs, Walkers for Choice!
I went to a rally today, and it was great. Here are some of my favorites from ours.

Congrats to those who attended the rallies – they look like they were peaceful & visible, which I think counts as a success. It has been heartening to see the pictures all over tumblr. I’m Canadian, and I took the opportunity to mail a letter to my (super conservative) MP & MPP to remind them that reproductive health is an issue that matters to voters, and that women are watching them.
My daughter, whose name happens to be Persephone, was there–

I’ve seen so many pictures of her! She’s an awesome kid, and you’re clearly an awesome parent! (And she has the best name, obviously!)
Thanks!
