Gen X v. Gen Y: Panel on Sexy Sex at Every Age

Ladyreaders, this one is for you. Manreaders, we might bring you in on this topic later.  We’re assembling a panel discussion for women of all ages to compare and contrast our experiences, education and expectations about and surrounding sex.   Being as it’s 2011 and we are masters of technology, we’re going to assemble our panel through the wonders of the introwebs, either through a special topic in our forums or some sort of chat.

If you’re a woman between 18-29 (Gen Y), 29-49 (Gen X) or 50+ (Boomer) and would like to participate, leave a comment below.  One of the Thankless Interns will start a group for the discussion and add everyone who volunteers and we’ll go from there.   One of our interns is a budding sex researcher, she’s going to make sure we stay on topic and have plenty of juicy things to talk about.

For our readers younger than 18, this discussion is probably not for you.  We encourage you to ask an adult you trust any questions you have.  There are some great resources for teens online, but as a general rule the internet is the last place you want to learn about sex.

For more in the Gen X v. Gen Y battle, yesterday’s lunchtime poll asked each group to share their favorite Saturday morning cartoons.  The cartoons that stuck with each group tended to be a little subversive, because we’re a bunch of brainy clowns.   I think Bugs Bunny won out for Xers and Rugrats was the most popular among Ys.

  1. I am Gen Y (24 years old) and would be interested in participating.

I am a self-described prude who was always the one who knew tons about sex in high school and college, despite not partaking. Mostly because I went to those reputable sites for teens to learn this stuff.

  2. This is fantastic! I’d been discussing my interest in having some kind of roundtable with women of different ethnicities, sexualities, religions, ages, etc., to write about their experiences with sex with HelloKitty, and you’re doing it in a much more organized way than I had been imagining. :D Will there be any posts about the discussions that emerge, or is this more to provide a forum for discussion apart from any posts?

I already get to put my sexual two cents in on a regular basis here, but if you end up being in need of more Gen Y participants, I’ll happily volunteer.
