We’re just 48 hours away from knowing the winner of the inaugural run of Persephone Magazine’s Middlemarch Madness, and boy has it been a ride!  I’m not sure if tonight’s results will have any surprises, but let’s click on and meet the winners anyway, shall we?

  1. So sad that Jess Darlin’ did not win out. I remember liking Anne as a kid, but thinking back she just seems so insufferable. I like my heroines as sour as possible (hence my rooting for Cimorene, Turtle, Harriet, Alanna, and Jessica…man, I need to read some non-children’s books sometime). I guess I’ll throw my weight behind Jo and Hermione.

    I know I was gone, but WTF happened with Offred? I VOTED ON MY STUPID OLD PHONE THAT DOESN’T COOPERATE ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET EXCEPT FACEBOOK and she still lost? I am heartbroken and ashamed of all of you. ASHAMED. Don’t go crying to Offred when Sarah Palin gets her way.
