Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, Day 17: You Can Make This as Hard as You Want

Are you still hanging with me and Jillian? Has near-daily exercise become a habit?

This morning I did my workout in front of my peanut gallery, like I so often do. When I got down on the floor to do the circuit 2 abs move, I didn’t pick up my weights. My son immediately said, “Mommy! Get your weights! You need them! See!”

BUSTED by the three-year-old. He was right- I should have picked up the weights in the first place. Even if I stopped after 10 seconds, I needed that challenge.

Do you find yourself sometimes going through the motions of a workout half-heartedly? How do you pump yourself back up?

  1. After a week off, due to family visits and, oh, general laziness, I started again from what I’m deeming Day One, yesterday. Certainly wasn’t as hard as the first round, though I caught myself resting my hand weights on my shoulders during the squat and press. I also sometimes get into correct form much longer than it should take me, just for a tinesy rest.
