Lunchtime Poll: Friend Crushes

Happy Friday, everyone! Since I have been thinking about my biggest celebrity friend-crush this week, I thought I’d ask you about yours.

I’d like to hear who your friend-crushes are. Mine is hands down, Cate Blanchett. I think she’s so amazingly talented, she’s other-worldly beautiful, she takes fashion risks, her voice is like music to my ears, and I just plain like that she spells her name with a C. I want to have tea with her and I want her to take me shopping and I want her to give me some tough-love advice that would go down like a spoonful of honey with her impeccable diction. Swoon.

So, how about the rest o’ ya?

  1. Jennifer Lawrence, because she seems an absolute dork without any problem about how other people conceive her. Well hi. James McAvoy for the older brother-friend part (he’s pretty perfect in my eyes, to be honest. I’d allow him to adopt me).

  2. I really want to be friends with Natalie Portman.

ALSO I am going to rant quickly before I go to bed – I’ve had a really weird ongoing exhaustion for the last three days continually – like literally eyes drooping after a few hours awake. I am not amused, it’s very weird.

  3. No one is in the house. Time to belt 4 Non Blonde’s version of What’s Up at maximum lung power until I start working on that paper!

As for the question…John Barrowman is such a sexy man.

    Wait, that’s not a friend-crush.

I want to hang with Melissa McCarthy. She has never failed to make me laugh in anything I’ve seen her in. I bet she’d be a cool person.

  4. I once had a dream that I was outside of a circle of the following people, David Cross, Bob Odenkirk, Jack Black, all 5 of the Kids in the Hall, and Patton Oswalt and Dave Attel.   I wanted to just hang out with them.  Just talk… But they were busy and they would not turn around when I said, “Hey guys, Its so cool you are all in my living room!”

And as of the last few days, I have been tweetstalking @elibraden He is funny and I want to be friends.

What does it say about me that they are all men? Hmmm….

  5. Patrick Stewart. He seems so fun and smart. I would desperately want him to read Robert Louis Stevenson novels to me. Also I feel like he would be fun for show-tunes karaoke night with the rest of my friends (even if show-tunes karaoke hasn’t happened since college).
