I have a propensity to take baths. As often as possible. With the iPad propped up on the toilet so I can watch Doctor Who.
Monday nights are often for getting your butt in gear, but why not indulge in a guilty pleasure and make Monday magical?

Right now, a guilty pleasure would be a cup of coffee, a late night hamburger from a food truck, or my bed, none of which seem imminent as we are heading into the third hour of being in the ER. Mr. Dormouse was very sick today and when we realized he was getting worse and want getting over it, all the urgent care centers were closed. So, off to the ER we went where he has been on an IV for a few hours now. He’s getting down to the end of the second liter of fluid, and he still hasn’t had any urge to pee so obviously, he got very dehydrated today. :( However, he is resting and even starting to snore which is a sign that he is getting back to normal. I, for one, am so thankful for modern medicine right now!
Aww… oh no! Was it just the flu or something?? Hope he’s feeling better (and that you get some food and hot beverage of choice)!
Thanks, Twiddle! The doctor said he has viral gastroenteritis, which is very contagious (YAY -_-), and that it’s been going around our area. I have coffee in hand now, and I’m at work, but I really wish I were home instead! Hopefully, my boss will have pity on me and l let me go home early. *fingers crossed*
I can’t really handle baths. Sitting in water weirds me out for some reason. Maybe because I don’t know how to swim and always avoided water? I dunno.
I was being all healthy with dinner tonight and bought a chocolate mousse mix to go with it as my indulgence for the evening. The soup ended up being a bit richer than i expected. It started out right: leeks, shallots, garlic, carrots, potatoes, celery. Sounds good, right? Then I had to saute the leeks and shallots in butter (lots), added milk, flour and heavy cream to the soup to thicken it (blending some of it for additional creaminess). Not terrrrriiibbllleee. However… I added cheese, a dollop of sour cream and loads on bacon to the bowl. NOM. So good. So my ‘healthy’ dinner ended up being my indulgence.
…though there is that mousse chilling in the fridge….
My indulgence for the evening (I’m really kind of hesitant to say…): I’m watching Biggest Loser on Hulu (instead of doing work) and drinking beer. Also dark chocolate.
[note: I know Biggest Loser is a terrible show for so many reasons, but I just. can't. help myself.]
I really want to take long baths but in all honesty, my tub scares me. The previous owners of the house weren’t what one might call ‘fastidious’ and despite me scrubbing that thing our all the time and the 5 years we own the place, I’m still leery of sitting in it.
I just ate some brownies!
Baths are my favorite. It feels so indulgent. And I can read without a dog or cat trying to climb all over me.
Baths are the best!
