This Midweek Musical Open Thread Has Gone to the Cats

I just got back home from a visit to my family. And my cats!

Ok, so technically I only ever lived with one of my parents’ current batch of cats, but I’m still claiming them as my kitties since my allergies preclude actually having any of my own anymore. And what musical goes better with cats than, well Cats!

How’s your week going, kittens?

For a couple of years in junior high/high school, I was obsessed with Cats. I had all the songs memorized, several of the dances memorized, and of course, the intro poem “The Naming of Cats.” My sister and I even practiced cat makeup and came up with nicknames for all of the characters, two of which we still use for each other. Yeah…good times. :)

Okay, I thought I would never touch it with a ten feet pole but I read a FSoG inspired fanfic (with CONSENT oh lordies) and darnity, do I like it.

I thought I was done with fanfiction. Addictive stuff.
