Lunchtime Poll for 1/29/13: Snow or No?

I am so sick of the snow.

Yes, I get that because of where I live, it’s an inescapable fact of life, but I hate it. I find it pretty for about three seconds, and then my mind turns to all of the ways that it’s making my life a giant pain in the neck.

What say you, Persephoneers? Do you love the snow, or hate it with all your heart like I do?

I LOVE snow. I need snow. My region has been seriously lacking the white stuff this year. Such a bummer.

I love snow–because it’s still pretty novel around here–but we only ever got a light dusting this year–once, maybe twice. I was sad. :( Lots of snow up north and lots of snow in the mountains, but not much in Seattle or on the eastside. Maybe next year!

I’m not a fan of snow. Luckily I live in the south so I rarely have to deal with it but when it comes, even just a smidge, it is a major pain in the ass.

Silver lining, I stay home from work.

Dark shadow, that’s now exactly how I like to use my vacation days.

I think along your lines of thought. It’s pretty, until I have to get out and climb through it. Luckily ours is gone right now (for as long as it lasts).

I’m basically the same: love it for five second followed by lots and lots of hate. I may or may not have decided that I want to stay in California because New York weather is so awful (moved here for completely different reasons).

I’d rather snow than freezing rain, because I walk everywhere and snowflakes don’t drench you the way rain does. Rain can so quickly turn into a sheet of ice, too.

I love snow simply because it enables me to ski. In terms of the practical side, driving around in it, having to shovel it, less of a fan. But skiing! Skiing is what makes the long cold and dark of winter bearable :)

I hate it. It’s only nice when I can stay inside by a roaring fire with a good book, and even then I want it gone the next day.

I love snow, in the sense that it’s pretty but that we’ve seen hardly any of it this winter. Instead, our little part of Scotland has shown how good it as at giving us freezing cold rain and horrible winds.
