This Open Thread Is Dedicated To The Harlem Shake

Yeah, I might be months late or whatever, but dear god, yes.

Have you ever felt something so deep in your bones and, like witnessing a child being born, humanity at its finest, or any sort of miracle, knew that it was for you? Yes kittens, I speak of the Harlem Shake.

Nonsensical? Yes. Breath-taking? Definitely. Absurd and touching in its artfulness? Absolutely.

How does the old saying go? “Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex… It takes a touch of genius and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction”?

BLESS.

This thread is the best of Harlem Shake. Give me your best and your worst.

Can I get a hearty chorus of “brain aneurysms suck” ?

(I’m fine, but a friend of a friend died and…well, brain aneurysms suck.)

This is the first time I ever heard about it, so I’ll be late with you!

Tuesday Rant: so I had plans with my friend Nick to drive to Chicago on the 22nd for a Dropkick Murphys concert. We bought the tickets in December and I’ve been super excited about it. Until today when I call to verify plans and now the asshat isn’t going. Really? The week before the show and you aren’t going? So now I have no concert buddy and no place to stay. But really I think I’m just upset that he forgot about me. Cause thwt’s what happened. He forgot we had plans and made other plans he can’t get out of. I feel shafted. So anyone in Chicago want to go to a concert?
