The month is up, my darlings. How’s everybody feeling?
I can say, with all honesty, I notice a definite change with my body. It’s nothing extreme; I won’t be competing in any body building championships or anything, but I feel stronger, my arm muscles are more defined, and my ass is a little bit more fantastic. I really enjoy flexing my thigh muscles and forcing my husband to feel how strong they are. Hey, I worked hard for those things, and I wan’t someone to appreciate them. I like the look he gets on his face and his, “Jesus, woman, you could kick me across the room,” comments. Yes, yes I could.
I will be perfectly honest, though – I got pretty bored with this workout after about week 2. Boredom is not a good motivator, and I had to push myself to keep it up. All told, I met my goal completely 2 weeks, did 3 out of 5 on week 3, and 4.5 on week 4. Not perfect, but not horrible either, so I am going to buy myself something pretty. Actually, I am buying myself 3 sessions with the new trainer at the gym so he can show me the workouts best suited for my needs. On top of that, I am looking forward to incorporating the Train Like a Slayer workouts into my routine, if for no other reason than they formatted them in the Buffy font. I am highly susceptible to suggestion, and that font suggests to me that I will be as bad ass as the Buff-ster if I do them. Please allow me my delusions.
Now for what everyone really cares about – our prize winner! Congratulations to Nerd Girl From Camelot!! I will contact you directly to work out details for getting your gift cards to you.
Thanks for keeping me in line this month, everyone. Anybody have any upcoming fitness/workout plans? Training for anything in particular? Share in the comments!
