I’m in Buffalo visiting my grandfather, and there are a few things I’ve noticed.
1. Suburbs are eerily quiet and dark when you’re used to city nights.
2. Loganberry is actually pretty disgusting, but I insist on drinking some every time I’m in town.
3. “Rush hour” here is light compared to “no traffic” in New York.
None of these things should surprise me – I grew up here, for Pete’s sake – but after eleven years gone, six of those spent in NYC, different things always strike me when I come to visit.
What are you up to this weekend?
