Lunchtime Poll: Video Game Settings

What settings would you like to see represented in video games?

Despite the limitless possibilities, video games tend to revisit the same few places such as outer space or medieval-ish Europe. There are exceptions, for sure, but still, the same places turn up over and over again. The Assassin’s Creed series, for example, has set games in Renaissance Italy and colonial America, Red Dead Redemption is set in the Old West, Grand Theft Auto is set in the modern day, and the Fallout series is set in a post-apocalyptic future.

Fable, Thief, Dragon Age: Origins, Assassin’s Creed, The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, Dragon’s Dogma

What places do you want to visit in a game? Is there some historical period you’d like to explore? Or perhaps a fictional world?

I don’t know if I want an Alanna or Daine game per se, but I’d love to visit Tortall, I spent so much time there are a child!
