My partner and I have been together for about 5 1/2 years and we’re getting to the point of boredom. Not necessarily boredom with each other, but rather failing to be creative with our time spent together.
As I’m sure most of you know, when you’re leading a busy life between work, school and other very important obligations like religiously watching your favorite TV show every week, relationships can get to a point of routine. You spend time with each other when you’re wiped out from the day, and at that point, you’re only hanging out either in front of the TV, or while reading in bed/looking at social media on your phone. Not that any of those things are not fun to do together, but when it becomes the only activity you do together, it can get a little redundant.
Therefore, we’re trying to become more creative about the time we spend together, especially because a version of what we both think is fun, looks drastically different. I like museums, he likes watching sports at a bar — do you see where I’m going with this? So what ideas do all of you have for a fun date for a couple that is trying to spice things up? And by “spicing things up,” I don’t mean in the BDSM kind of way, but I’m also not ruling that out, either.
