Weekly Anime Review

Psycho-Pass is once again my favorite show. Fate/Stay Night, Shingeki no Bahamut, and G no Reconguista are pretty awesome, too. Sword Art Online and Argevollen are somewhat less interesting, but still entertaining.

Argevollen, Ep 16

Jamie, you finally did your job, but your social skills suck.

Jamie’s companies and Chayenne are in cahoots and using Unit 8 to have fun or something. The main characters are so detached from the real plot that I’m not too sure what to think.

The Neural Rideover Syndrome is already affecting the Strum Alpha pilot. The dude is already more aggressive and evil. Susume seems more or less devoid of personality changes though, kind of like his sister, I guess.

Next episode should be interesting.

Sword Art Online II, Ep 15

Back into ALO and Shinon now has a Cath Sith archer that doesn’t like the weapon range (which is shorter than magic…technically).

Seems like there is weird AI in the game making spontaneous quests. Emergent AI FTW! Also, flying medusa-elephant FTW!

I like that this is back to a full party adventure, it should at least be fun and amusing.

Gundam: G no Reconguista, Ep 5

The characters’ comportment in this show is weird.

Bellri joined the Pirates to repay his debt over killing Cahill. It also appears that Aida is going to become a princess. She’s also still hung up on Cahill. It’s strange to get information in tiny bits here and there.

Looks like the G-Self comes from some space colonies that also gives the photon’s cells to Capital Tower. Bellri thinks it’s a holy place, but I get the feeling it’s space junk. We will probably see it soon.

The Capital Army got a new mecha called Elf Bullock. What kind of name is that? It’s piloted by Luin, Bellri’s academy friend.

Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis, Ep 3

This was a kind of gruesome episode, but we got some exposition from both Amira and Kaisar.

Amira is now the God Key, she got into the place where demons can’t go and stole the key by absorbing its soul. I’m starting to think that she might be Jeanne’s daughter. It’s the only thing that makes sense.

Kaisar’s family fall happened because his dad failed at his job. I’d be pissed off at the system, not Favaro.

The rest of the episode was Kaisar making friends with zombies and a 200-year-old necromancer that looks like she is 12 called Rita. Yes, this episode had Zombies-action.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, Ep 2

Holy Grail War exposition, for Shirou’s benefit because he’s totally clueless. Rin also had to do the butt-dance because she didn’t get Saber. She also drank lots of tea.

Shirou can’t provide mana to Saber, which means we get a gimped Saber. She also remembers the previous Grail War, going by her comments and the fact that she doesn’t want to talk to that dude.

That dude being the fake priest from Fate/Zero who screwed everyone over. He’s also Rin’s guardian (whose idea was it to do that?). Kotomine Kirei, the guy without desire that sounds like a reincarnated Devil.

Archer and Rin are the best, he just knows which button to push. Berserker entrance was pretty good, too.

Psycho-Pass 2, Ep 3

Another good episode. We learned so many things.

Kamui seems to have found a way to reduce people’s hue and people are becoming accro to it. He wants to make everyone invisible, too. He sounds crazy, acts crazy, and has no hue.

Everyone but Togane thinks Akane is going crazy, except that her hue is super clear. I guess nobody knows about her little talent. Her teammate inspector is soooo going to fall though, you can hammer that thing more than they did in this episode. Poor Mika, she didn’t even want to talk to Professor Saiga. He actually turned himself in.

crazy dude
That guy is a junkie

Speaking of Togane, the Chief gave a warning to Akane saying that the guy had the highest recorded crime coefficient ever registered, even if it was removed from the system. What the hell did that guy do?
