BicuriousShoes commented on the post, This OT is on Vacation! 11 months ago
Hi everyone! If you’re up to it, I’d like to know your opinions on a money issue. Just this once, it’s not about making money or saving money, but about spending (an admittedly small amout of money) in the […]

In reply to: BicuriousShoes posted an update in the group Canadian Persephoneers Hi everyone! I’m sorry to hijack the conversation, I’m not a Canadian Persephoneer but I will be spending a month in Canada this summer for work […] ViewThanks for the advice! I looked a bit into that but they seem to be for people taking summer courses only… I’ll look deeper into it, since several people have suggested this option.
I LOVE Canada and I can’t wait to go back!

Thank you! Yes, “dodgy” is the word, that’s why it’s so frustrating! I’ll have a look at kijiji and see what I can find.

It’s funny because it’s TRUE! Fear of being murdered in sleep is the no.1 cause of stress among traveling researchers.

Canadian Persephoneers 1 year agoHi everyone! I’m sorry to hijack the conversation, I’m not a Canadian Persephoneer but I will be spending a month in Canada this summer for work (research) and I thought maybe someone in this group knows somebody who knows somebody who would be willing to rent me a room in their home without, you know, murdering me in my sleep? I will be…[Read more]

Hello, Open Thread! I miss you guys so much since I stopped being a chronic procrastinator whose whole semester is basically one huge all-nighter filled with dread and anxiety night owl! Today I stayed up […]

I just ate a 3-am spicy chorizo sandwich, so I approve of night pizza. I may also not be the best person to poll on this issue.

I agree with PoM, you can totally do this! And remember that rest and sleep are a very important part of the revision process. Right now it may seem like you don’t know anything, but if you get some sleep, in the […]

Hahaha… “God gave a Bill of Rights!?”
Sad part is, the song is pretty good, and they seem to be really talented. I wonder how old they are and to what extent they understand the hatred they are promoting […]

FoodPorn 1 year, 2 months agoI just joined the group (don’t know what took me so long!) to share this super-easy, super-addictive cheese spread recipe with you all. My mom calls it “cheese pâté” and serves it as a starter on special occasions, but “pâté” sounds way too fancy for something I spread on toast for breakfast or spoon straight out of the jar for a…[Read more]

Have you looked at residence halls at the unis in either city? Those are usually really cheap to rent out in the summer. My westerly friends are all in Edmonton, so I’m sorry I can’t help there!
I hope you enjoy Canada!
