Greetings, unicorns, and Happy Friday. This week’s news updates are a little more entertainment-heavy at the end, but first let’s get to this week’s politics and other newsy items:
This 10 inch limited edition single from Bush is one of the first records I bought on my own, even though I didn’t own a record player at the time. There are three songs on it, and the amount I paid shook out to be roughly four bucks per song. Did I care? Of course not. The hopeless completist within me felt it was meant to be.
2011 became the year when so many of my favorites decided to have new releases, and it became a very happy listening time. In some ways, it’s difficult to say which song from the following fifteen is my favorite, but once you reach the end, it will be obvious to anyone who has followed my music writing. Still, play all these songs and enjoy. I hope you love them.
2010 is an off year for me. Though I’m sure there were plenty of releases that other people could get excited about, when I perused the list of albums from that year, I could only come up with ten songs about which I had anything to say. That’s not to disparage those other releases, but when I write about music, my knowledge and enthusiasm only extends so far. Still, I feel like I’ve got ten good ones here, so let’s get to it.
Friends, we are officially at the halfway point for this column. Let’s reward ourselves by rocking out and taking in the eye candy.
