Happy Friday, Unicorns! Time once again to catch up on some of the news stories catching my eye this week.
Lots of things to cover, so let’s just get right to it!
I recently read some anti-Chris Brown playing the Grammy posts, most notably “I’m Not Okay With Chris Brown Performing at the Grammys and I’m Not Sure Why You Are” on Hello Giggles. I can’t say I disagree with anything stated in the article, because I really don’t. The article is mostly on-point. But my retort to this question is “Why Do We Care So Much About Chris Brown But None of the Other Domestic Violence Perpetrators in Hollywood?” Read More I’m Confused About How I Feel About Chris Brown
Last week at the Grammys, Esperanza Spalding rode in as the dark horse of the night, winning Best New Artist. (I will mention only one other female artist was nominated in this category: Florence and The Machine. Although women did have a pretty big take-home: 16 awards in all.) It had many people saying, “Who?” And it had me saying, “Wow, amazing dress!” Read More Esperanza Spalding: Better than Bieber
Hey guys, it’s that time of the year again, when we get to relax and watch the Grammys! Yay! So pull up your couch, get this party started, and hope there aren’t anymore disastrous performances like Taylor Swift’s cover of “Rhiannon”! Snacks are sure to be at hand and keep the wine bottle near. It is gonna get crazy!
This is a reminder for you all to tune into the live blogging of the Grammy Awards and the Red Carpet. I will be live blogging and relaxing, so tune in!
You will all have to bear with me on this momentous occasion as it is my first live blog! Yay! Get ready to get the party started at 6 ET/5 CT. I will be starting with E!’s coverage of the Red Carpet then moving onto the Grammy’s themselves.
See you there!
