Hey there! You’re almost halfway through Monday and look at you go! It’s time again for our lunchtime poll, wherein we beg our readers to jump into the action with us. We work at home, we crave the companionship. If you’re looking to the (groan-worthy) answer to Friday’s riddle, find it after the cut.
The riddle, if you remember, had an unfortunate sap trapped in a room with no doors and no windows, with only a mirror and a table for company. How ever did he get out?
He looked in the mirror to see what he saw. He used the saw to cut the table in half, then put the two halves together to make a whole. He escaped through the hole.
*ducks tomatoes*
Today’s poll is way more fun! We all have a carrot that we dangle in front of ourselves to help us get through the day. What’s your personal extrinsic motivator? Mine is absolutely Diet Coke, which I use to reward myself for completing anything major. Some days, that means one every time a post makes it live with no typos, some days it’s after we get eleven great, interesting pieces up in the same day. How do you keep yourself going?

Sometimes, it’s a Cherry Coke. Usually it’s whatever tv show is on that night. Tonight, my carrot was How I Met Your Mother!
Mine will be sitting on the couch and not doing any school work anymore, but today might not be a day I get to do that. But when I get enough done that I can go home and read on my couch, that will still feel like a victory.
Mine also involves caffiene! But it’s usually coffee. When I was a working lass, my break was coffee + 5 minute walk to really get the blood going. Being home, I now use coffee and TV time as my motivator. Speaking of which, I just finished a post so it’s time for some bean juice! :)
