It’s All Pumpkin Pie and Football from Here

To all our American readers celebrating with family and friends tomorrow, have a safe, happy, and very tasty holiday.  We’ll have a little post from me in the morning, but otherwise we gave everyone tomorrow off.  We’ll be back on Friday with a lighthearted day, focusing on the food we all ate on turkey day, Black Friday adventures and little bits of other fun, fluffy entertainment all day.

We’ll be back fully loaded like the kiester of the turkey in the thumbnail on Monday, and we’re going to knock your socks off next week.   We’re especially thankful this year for the opportunity to get to know and write for all of our wonderful readers, commenters and lurkers.  I’m personally thankful for all the wonderful writers and the editing team, all of whom have managed to pull something fantastic out of emails, semi-private Tumblr messages and rambling Word docs.  I’ve sent all of them emails today telling them why I’m thankful for them individually, b/c I’m the best boss who pays in internet hugs ever.  My dad and I are starting new holiday traditions this year, and as we dig into whatever meal we find for someone else to cook us tomorrow I’m going to take a minute to be thankful for all this place gives me every day.  Internet hugs and slankets for everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving (or boring internet day to our non-US readers) from Persephone Magazine!
