Lunchtime Poll

Lunchtime Poll 11/1

Happy November! It’s time once again for our lunchtime poll, where we ask you the tough questions so we can grab a sandwich.  Today’s question is a bit of a thinker, but I’m really excited to see how our regular pollers will answer.  Sharpen your number 2 pencils and be sure to fill in your answer bubbles completely, after the break.

You have been placed in charge of packing a time capsule to represent 2010.   The time capsule is no larger than an average suitcase, and you may select a maximum of 10 items.  What would you chose, and why?

(1) iPad–you have to ask why?(2) DVD of the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear–give you a lesson of the zeitgeist of current events as filtered through lamestream media.(3) DVD of INCEPTION–Director Christopher Nolan was the ultimate inceptor, convincing jaded movie goers to shell out bucks for multiple theatre viewings.(4) Mudball–to represent the natural disasters and storms that devastated Chile, Indonesia, China. Yes there will be a tiny miner’s had embedded.
(5) Barbed wire rapped taco–for Arizona’s immigration law

I’ll have to finish packing later. I always do it in segments not all at once. Will probably repack and switch out items.

Alexander McQueen lobster shoes, a tea partier protest sign, “Sinking of Big Country: Memorandum to China” by Liu Xiaobo (09 Nobel Peace Prize recipient), piece of woven fabric from Pakistan, a Haitian doll, a medal from the Winter Olympics, a World Cup tshirt with the South African flag on it, a copy of a portion of Wikileaks, a miner’s hat, a copy of “Catcher in the Rye” (since J.D. Salinger died this year).
