Remember, remember the fifth of November. Welcome to the latest lunchtime poll, where we pass off all the responsibility for witty commentary to the readers. Today is an easy one, to break the trend of mega-essay questions I posted earlier in the week.
What’s your favorite movie quote?
See? Easy as pumpkin pie ice cream.

you’re a virgin who can’t drive.
I actually have fairly frequent opportunity to say, “I’m the best Goddamn dancer at the American Ballet Academy–who the hell are you?”
Another one I use a lot is “Don’t you realize? The next time you see sky, it’ll be over another town. The next time you take a test, it’ll be in some other school. Our parents, they want the best of stuff for us. But right now, they got to do what’s right for them. Because it’s their time. Their time! Up there! Down here, it’s our time. It’s our time down here. That’s all over the second we ride up Troy’s bucket.” (Though usually I just quote the first three lines and “because it’s our time! It’s our time down here!”)
I have sooo many. My sister and I quote Ace Ventura together pretty regularly.
As I commented yesterday, I really enjoy “Just Keep Swimming”
And I just had some insane deja vu while writing this. That’s not related though.
I also like “My regime? The regime from which the radicals are trying to get free?” From the Truth About Cats and Dogs.
Any line from Clueless is good. “I just had two frappucinos and I feel like a total heifer”
Mine change depending on my mood. Go to departing line is “Great pate, but gotta motor.” Currently I am learning about American Indians–it’s their month–so my phrase of the day is “Ah, juicy fruit.” Okay, can anybody name the movie, character and actor who uttered that line? Anyone, Bueller?
Too many to count.
the one I use the most, randomly, is from that chirpy bird (dinosaur?) in Fern Gully: “Gravity Works!”
Also, “this is not just spoke in my menstrual cycle” (Heathers)
He was a bat. Named Batty. : ) +5 internets for the Fern Gully reference.
