Hello readers! You’re well on your way to Friday night now! On this fine Friday, we’d like to pump you for ideas. What’s one fairly simple skill you’ve always wanted to learn but never had the time? Rocket science, barnyard castration and brain surgery are probably out, but it we think we can pull it off, one of our intrepid Lady Bloggers will take on the task. Stamp collecting? Knitting a scarf? Making a souffle? Changing your own oil? Replacing computer parts? If we don’t know, one of us probably knows someone to ask. We’re here to make you happy and smarter, readers. Within reason. (It is the internet, after all.)

I’d like to sing, just well enough that I could entertain dinner guests.
This is pretty Betty Crockery, but I’d like to be a better entertainer. Flower arranging, table decor, choosing favors, these are all things I could use advice on.
Being able to do routine maintenance on my car (change oil, fix a flat, those sorts of things).
I second this one. If something broke, I would have no idea how to fix it.
I want to make a good pot roast. I am a decent cook, but pot roast is the white whale of my kitchen
Me too! I’ve tried and failed so many times. I’m a crappy cook, but I want to make at least one pot roast in my lifetime that couldn’t double as a charred medicine ball.
I made one that was bouncy
Sewing! I can barely reattach a button if it falls off, and being a shorty I would love to be able to hem my own pants and make other alterations (shortening suit coat sleeves I might leave to professionals, but if I’m learning to sew, I might as well learn to do this, too).
I can help with the sewing. Buttons are easy and I think I can figure out how to describe a hem stitch clearly enough.
If you take a video with your phone, we can convert and upload it. This is the interwebs, we can do anything.
I will talk to the big man and try to get over my microphonaphobia
That would be awesome, thanks! Describe it (or video tape it) as if you are describing it to someone who has never seen thread, needles, pants, or this planet (I really am that useless!)
