Our love of Polyvore at Persephone is well documented. As a fun filler, I made a set for each of the editors. It’s important to note I only know what one of them looks like, so most of this is guessing. As is also well documented, I have no personal style of my own. My collage reflects that.
Luci Style by chamalla featuring denim jeans
First up, Luci. I know Luci likes pink, and I know she leans toward details that are both fun and a little frilly. She also lives in NYC, so being dressed by a Hoosier could get her black-barred in Glamour, so I gave her sensible shoes for a hasty get away. I included a beret for a Mary Tyler Moore moment outside the co-op.
Hattie-rific by chamalla featuring evening dresses
Next is Hattie, who is also a New Yorker and a newlywed. I know Hattie loves deco style and New Yorkers love black, so I gave her a goin’ out number inspired by both.
Sally Style by chamalla featuring mary jane shoes
Sally J. has two tiny turbo-charged children. She is part super hero. She deserves a fancy date night with her adorable husband. Sally is tall and gorgeous and looks fantastic in strong colors, so I gave her a vavavoom dress, cute retro heels and a classic trench.
Selena Style by chamalla featuring a plaid pajamas
Last but not least, me. I’m wearing something really similar to this right now. I will be wearing something very similar to this tomorrow. I believe in finding a style and sticking to it.

Ack! How did I miss this?! So cute! And I DO wear a lot of black. It’s horrible. Whenever I’m in doubt I just throw on some black clothing and feel better. I love my outfit!
Ha! I will do one for some of the interns and writers next, this was a lot of fun. I would love it if someone wants to make me look like a real editor with Polyvore.
BBC – I’ll add yours to the next post I do!
I never fiddle with Polyvore because it seems like too much effort, but my ideal one would probably be something like this. Not so fashionable, but comfortable!
Erm… Here. Apparently, no image embedding in comments. You learn something new every day!
I love this! Especially your usage of the “No Shit Sherlock” mug. I feel like every editor needs one of those.
I LOVE mine! I would totally wear it!! Also, yours made me LOL.Hattie and Sally J.’s both fit them too, I think. So awesome.
Do me next!
Oh I’m loving it, you are too kind and yet don’t give yourself enough credit at the same time! I think the editors need to pick out some polyvore for you!
Yes! I don’t really understand polyvore, but someone who does should
