Tuesday Trivia: Totally Awesome ’80s

So for today’s totally tubular trivia we are headed back to the ’80s.  I have selected some of my favorites from VH1’s Top 25 Songs of the ’80s and given you the opening lyrics.  I don’t care if you weren’t born yet, these songs are so radical that the first few lines should be enough for identification, like, fer sure.

1.  Can you hear them? They talk about us.  Telling lies now that’s a surprise.

I looked just like this in the '80s - I swear

2.  Show me show me show me how you do that trick, the one that makes me scream, she said, the one that makes me laugh, she said, and threw her arms around my head

3.  Tommy used to work on the docks.  Union’s been on strike, he’s down on his luck …  It’s tough, so tough

4.  Love is like a bomb, baby, c’mon get it on.  Livin’ like a lover with a radar phone

5.  Dig if u will this picture, of u and I engaged in a kiss

6.  She’s got a smile that it seems to me reminds me of childhood memories

7.  Lying in my bed I hear the clock tick, and think of you, caught up in circles of confusion–is nothing new

8.  Poor old Johnny Ray.  Sounded sad on the radio, he moved a million hearts in mono

9.  Come over here.  All you got is this moment.  The twenty-first century’s yesterday.  You can care all you want, everybody does, yeah that’s okay

10.  She was a fast machine, she kept her motor clean.  She was the best damn woman  I had ever seen

Ella gets the first ever Awesome Badge, for saving me the trouble of typing in all the answers myself!

I just (like ten minutes ago) figured out how to do this, so don’t judge the Awesome Badge too harshly.
