Windy City Fun

I picked my daughter up from school the other day, and she was a little bummed when we didn’t head for the interstate. Why? Because, as she said, “I just want to go have some fun in Chicago, Mom.”

Who doesn’t want to have fun in Chicago?

I, for one, am hoping that our new business deal means that there will be Lady Blog Business in the Windy City. While we’re there, we’ll be able to take in some of my favorite sights in the city, including:

1) The Willis Tower (better known as the Sears Tower, ’til just a few years ago)

2) The Museum of Science and Industry

3) The Shedd Aquarium

4) The Annoyance Theater

5) Wrigley Field (it’s opening day, by the way)

6) The Field Museum

7) Grant Park

8) The Art Institute

9) Navy Pier

10) Millennium Park

I could go on and on about this metropolis my family loves. Instead, I’m signing off to go pack my bags, since as luck would have it, I’m off to have some fun in Chicago.

You have 48 hrs in the Windy City. What do YOU do?

I live in Chicago, and I’ll tell you how I would spend an ideal weekend in the city.

Salsa dancing at Rumba or Alhambra Palace.
Dinner one night at Cafe Baba Reeba.
Hearing the orchestra play in Grant Park while having a picnic and and people-watching
Brunch at Yolk
Definitely a visit to the Museum of Science&Industry or Art Institute (must include a stop in the miniature rooms exhibit)
A visit to Lincoln Park Zoo, the LP Nature Conservatory, and the Alfred Caldwell lily pool
