Inspired by Sally J’s trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, I’ve decided that we’re doing Disney tonight.
Almost every Disney animated movie has a signature song, but sometimes I have trouble remembering which song goes with which movie. Let’s see if the same thing happens to you. Here is a list of signature songs, can you remember which movie they signed?
1. A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes
2. In a World of My Own
3. Bella Notte
4. Once Upon a Dream
5. Whistle While You Work
6. The Bare Necessities
7. Ev’rybody Wants to Be a Cat
8. The Age of Not Believing
9. A Whole New World
10. A Part of Your World

Oh boy! I love Disney, especially the musicals!
1. Cinderella
2. Hunchback of Notre Dame? That’s really a guess, I don’t know this one at all.
3. Lady and the Tramp
4. Sleeping Beauty
5. Snow White
6. The Jungle Book
7. The Aristocats! This was a big favorite with my brothers and I growing up. Then we lost our copy :-(
8. No idea…bah…
9. Aladdin
10. The Little Mermaid
This was actually tougher than I thought it would be. I kind of expected to get them all before I started.
And now I’ll be humming Disney songs all day…and maybe watching Beauty and the Beast (thus far the only one I have on DVD, sigh) when I get home…
Looking below (AFTER I submitted my answers), some of these ladies are on fire with the Disney songs–I’m impressed! I don’t mind missing Bedknobs and Broomsticks, because I’ve only watched it a couple of times, but Cinderella? Little Mermaid? Come on, Grandma!
3. Lady and the Tramp
5. Snow White
6. Jungle Book
7. The Aristocats?
9. Aladdin?
I also like You’ll Be in My Heart from Tarzan and I Won’t Say I’m in Love from Hercules.
One of the MANY blessings of being a grandmother is getting to watch Disney movies with the grandkids!!!
6. The Bare Necessities – Jungle Book
7. Ev’rybody Wants to Be a Cat – Aristocats?
9. A Whole New World – Aladdin
10. A Part of Your World – The Little Mermaid
I don’t know why I’m so bad in this.
It’s harder than it looks
And the harder you’re thinking “I should know this”, the faster the answer disappears.
I’m so horrible with quizzes ugh!!!
Okay, let’s see:
1.Cinderella
2.Alice in Wonderland
3. Lady and the Tramp (Belle Notre is Hunchback of Notre Dam :) )
4.Sleeping Beauty
5.Snow White
6.Jungle Book
7.Aristocats (my favvvvvvorite song ever!)
8. Bedknob and Broomsticks
9.Aladdin
10.Lil Mermaid!!!
I have every Disney movie ever made and watch them constantly. As a matter of fact, my kids and I put our heads together, and sing out loud while looking up into the ceiling. We love Sound of Music, Chitty, Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins the most but anyone will do, as long as the songs are good.
Actually we just love musicals!!!!! I think I might have something to do with that!
Whistling “Let’s Get Down to business, to defeat the huns” ;)
I love the “We Are Men” song from Mulan! It is one of my daughter’s favorites and we sing it a lot. :)
(And for someone who is horrible at quizzes, you are the only one so fat to get them all right)
FAR! the only one so FAR to get them all right.
This is why I shouldn’t be allowed to type before 9 am.
I’m currently studying for a Massive Death Exam. Well, I was. Now I’m trying to find a downloadable copy of “Let’s Get Down to Business,” because I need theme music.
Also: I sing the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang theme to annoy my boyfriend constantly.
Watch Out. My roommate was a die-hard Disney Fan. Still is. Works for them too – so, dream job and all. With her influence, I’m going to see how well I do. (No, I won’t be phoning a friend) :)
1. A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes – Cinderella. (I could describe the scene but that’s too much, no?)
2. In a World of My Own – No clue.
3. Bella Notte – Lady and the Tramp. Cue Meatball. :)
4. Once Upon a Dream – Sleeping Beauty
5. Whistle While You Work – Snow White
6. The Bare Necessities – Jungle Book.
7. Ev’rybody Wants to Be a Cat – I have to guess because I can’t think of it. I can sing the line (jazz, I think?) so it’s either 101 Dalmations, or that Aristocats movie (I’ve never seen it, just assuming, cats and all)
8. The Age of Not Believing – Holy Memories Batman. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve seen this movie. I LOVED Bedknobs and Broomsticks! Angela Lansbury is one of the greatest actresses of all time! All.Time. I’m youtubing this right now. :D
9. A Whole New World – ALADDIN! (ps, I had the soundtrack on cassette, and the Aladdin doll)
10. A Part of Your World – LITTLE MERMAID. This was the #1 song sang by my friends during recess in kindercare. #1. We’d take turns acting out the scene with her doing a pushup on the rock. :) (I may or may not currently have her bangs)
I too have mad love for Angela Lansbury. I want to be her when I grow up. (Were you the one who commented about watching Murder She Wrote the other day? I’m so excited that it’s back on Netflix streaming.)
And I may or may not have always wanted to have Ariel Red hair.
I think I and another commenter were talking about Murder She Wrote. I had watching a ton of episodes last Sunday while building a dresser and cleaning my house. :)
(I also may have bought a sweater inspired by the Cabot Cove style) :)

My best friend and I did the push-up on the rock too! Little Mermaid came out when we were like, five or something, so it was an insta-favorite for us.
We still watch Disney movies together. It’s kind of adorable, now that I think about it. Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin have come out ahead of the Little Mermaid for our later-in-life favorites though.
