There’s a new reality show starting next month that will feature nuts. Macadamia nuts, to be exact.
The aptly titled Roseanne’s Nuts will follow the famous comedienne as she moves from Los Angeles to Hawaii to manage a 40-acre macadamia nut and livestock farm. She’ll be joined by her longtime boyfriend, writer and musician Johnny Argent, and her son Jake.
If we’re going to have celebrities on reality shows, then this is the type of format I like. I don’t enjoy watching people famous for being famous go through withdrawal on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, or aging rock stars looking for love with girls younger than their own children. And while the premise of Roseanne’s Nuts sounds extremely random, it’s going to star Roseanne! It’ll be awesome!
I think it will work because someone with a personality like Roseanne is able to make anything entertaining. It’s something that’s never been done before (unless I missed another celebrity moving to an island and becoming a farmer) and as we all know Roseanne’s a television pioneer. It’s not surprising that she’s doing something so unique. It’s also going to be fun to see how Roseanne interacts with her boyfriend and son. Are they going to fight over whose turn it is to tend to the fields?
Here’s a link to some clips on the Lifetime website, where we meet Jake and see a sneak peek of the farm.
Roseanne’s Nuts premieres at 9 p.m. July 13 on Lifetime with back-to-back episodes. Will you be tuning in?

This is the first I’ve heard about this! I will definitely be checking it out. I love Roseanne. Even if she did go through a little bizarre phase like 10 years ago. She’s been nothing but awesome in the media recently.
If I didn’t waste so much of my life lately watching re-runs of Will & Grace, I probably wouldn’t have known about the show either! They’ve been airing commercials on Lifetime non-stop.
Premier date duly noted.
:)
Let me know what you think after it airs!
