I approached today’s workout with gusto, if for no other reason than it’s the last time I have to do level 2 for a while. I am feeling more coordinated about the moves on level 2, and have made friends with all of the strength moves, save the “walking push-up.” Not bad.
A couple of friends are a few days ahead of me, and they are on to level 3. Apparently, there’s more sweating involved. I’ll let you know for sure on Monday. What I’m thinking about today are short-term goals/rewards. My family sort of defaults to food as a reward/celebration tool. Happy Anniversary, let’s go to dinner! Great dance recital, let’s go for ice cream! Hey, it’ your half-birthday, here’s half of a cake! Things like that. So I want to celebrate when I get to the end of the 30 Day Shred, because hey, a) I’ve shredded for 30 days, and b) I blogged about it. It’s kind of an accomplishment. But it seems counterproductive to buy a milkshake to celebrate.
Here’s what I thought of: a new bottle of nail polish/taking the time to actually do my nails, um, yeah. That’s what I’ve thought of.
So what’s your favorite non-food celebration?

I usually reward myself by having a “spa day” where I take a nice bath and do my nails up. If it’s a really big reward, I will go and get a pedicure done, which is always a huge treat.
I usually reward myself with a new book or embroidery patterns + time to do both. Right now, my reward is sleep, though.
Sleep? What is this sleep of which you speak?!?
