One thing I noticed this week was that while bumping up to level 3 was a shock, the soreness didn’t last as long as it did when I was first starting out. My legs hurt fiercely yesterday, but today they felt OK. Also? The hunger is back. I can only attribute it to the jump in activity level again, since I am definitely keeping my heart rate up longer on level 3 than I was on level 1 or 2. So it goes.
Today I met with my two best girls, the two friends who are shredding with me. And it was interesting, because while we are all feeling the burn, we are definitely having different experiences. We each struggle with a different part of the workout, with a different part of committing to exercise, etc. But each one of us is doing it. Each one of us is exercising more days out of the week than we have in a long time, and each one of us has seen results. We are checking in with each other, encouraging each other and quoting Jillian together. After my pants fitting better, I think the camaraderie has been a highlight of this 30 Day Shred. What unexpected benefits have you found from your fitness routine?
