Saturday mornings. Are you old enough to remember Saturday morning cartoons on all of the major networks? I am. Saturdays were my favorite morning of the week, because there were cartoons on from the time I woke up until lunch. We didn’t get a VCR or cable until I was in junior high, so all of my elementary years were spent flipping channels and memorizing tv schedules.
For as much as I fondly remember watching cartoons, when I look at the cartoon schedule, I really only remember the Smurfs, the Muppet Babies, and Richie Rich. I mean, of course I know Superfriends and Bugs Bunny, but I associate those more with after school and other random times, not Saturday mornings.
Did you have a favorite ‘toon on the tube?

I loved Dungeons and Dragons … upon re-watching though, it is terrible!
Muppet Babies! I LOVED that show. Still do, actually. It was clever and funny and provided a lot of fuel for my budding imagination. I always wished I could make the stuff in my head appear in the real world the way they could. :-(
I loved Spider-man and X-men. And the old Cartoon Network line-up was great too.
