Currently LOL-ing at the MarkReads post about The Hobbit:
“ Look, the goblins MAKE UP A SONG ON THE SPOT ABOUT ROASTING OUR HEROES ALIVE WHILE THEY ARE STUCK IN A TREE. This is nightmare fuel!!! The very definition of it! Could you imagine facing death and your adversary creates a well-rhyming, improvised song on the spot? It would be so unsettling that you would BEG FOR A SWIFT DEATH.”
I die.
Also mildly freaking out about starting NaNoWriMo tomorrow!
LOL. Yes. Me, too.
Tomorrow I’m going to start my new job. And NaNoWriMo. Yikes!
Hoorah! Tomorrow I’m going to finish the video game I’ve been working on forever so that I will be fresh and ready to start NaNo on Tuesday!
After three meetings related to jobs last week, this week was full of a lack of phone calls, Ben and Jerry’s, and lack of motivation. Then last night I got all unladybugged-up to go out, including false eyelashes and weird cold volumizing powder in my hair, and started inexplicably dry heaving in the car on our way to meet our friends. I was trying to soldier up still, so we met our friends, and then my boyfriend ate some guac and mentioned, very close to my face, that I was not looking better, and I just about passed out from the nausea. So we went home. My stomach still feels questionable but I’m trying to eat some Special to settle it. Oh, and I have to pack because I am moving home with my parents next week, and this was making me really sad, but then I saw how stressed and anxious my mom is with some drama going on that I feel like that’s where I really need to be. It’s extremely temporary, and it’s in the same town and all, so it isn’t a big deal, but still. I am really going to miss my own place. Like, A LOT.
A week for the books for sure. We just got a ridiculous amount of snow, lost power for hours, and my car is doing some weird…shaking thing that is related to a misfiring cylinder. But of course nowhere is open. Digging out my parents’ driveway was fun!
I am hoping, hoping the rest of the weekend is a little quieter.
This weekend I went to a knitting group, followed Ruby Bruiseday’s house cleaning methodology and  got my house clean in two hours, tutored a student, and went to a three hour jiu jitsu practice. This has been a busy time. :P
CHECK OUT DAT MENU. What would you order?? I’m gonna have the Grazing Hippy with a portobello cap and sub out the goat cheese for havarti, side of 1/2 order fries, and a motherfucking pumpkin beer because I’ve never had one! Hooray!
After that it’s off to a friend’s suit-up-themed birthday party, whereupon I plan to drink an entire bottle of wine. Ahhhh exciting! Just have to get through the next hour and a half of work…
I think I would be inclined to a have “Don’t have a Cow Man” primarily because I am a sucker for both sweet potatoes and chipotle mayo.
