Today is not only the day after Halloween, it’s also All Saints’ Day. Actually, Halloween is short for All Hallows’ Eve − originally, All Saints’ Day, or Hallowmas, was the real holiday but the eve has gained popularity over the years.
I’m not Catholic, but I’ve always found the idea of patron saints interesting. How many do you know?
Who is the patron saint of:
- Accountants
- Actors
- Lost causes
- Travel
- Bee keepers
- Dancers
- Fire fighters
- Glassworkers
- Lost things
- Mothers
- Quebec
- Radios
- Schools

Shoot. I should know more of these off the top of my head!
Lost Causes- St. Jude
Mothers- St. Gerard
Lost Things– St. Anthony ( I have this guy ON-CALL)
Travel- -is it still St. Christopher? I remember something about that maybe changing….
Like I said, I should really know more of these without the help of the Internet!!
My confirmation saint was St. Lucy. She was burned at the stake. She’s also the patron saint of eye disorders.
I always feel like a bit of a dummy when PM puts a list down and I’m like ‘I sorta think I kinda know’ but can’t fill any of them.
