Lunchtime Poll 11/14/11

After reading IndyHealer’s post about natural remedies for acne and learning of two options that were new to me, I promptly ordered both CellFood and Goldenseal. It got me thinking about all the things I have tried thanks to articles here on Persephone–new recipes, new products. This week I am going to get a manicure and I want to get one of the colors you helpful ladies recommended in my recent LTP. And that brings me to today’s Lunchtime Poll:

What have you done, tried, or made thanks to a post here?

I agree that I love being able to see others’ perspectives presented in a clear, decisive manner. The honestly of the posts is so inspiring, and I feel so blessed to be a part of this community.

Let me know what you think of the CellFood and Goldenseal! If using the CellFood internally instead of topically, work up VERY gradually, as the detox it creates can actually make acne worse very temporarily. If using it topically, dilute it. Thanks much!

Recipes, first and foremost, but also so many of our posts have opened me up to thinking about things I’d never considered before, particularly in the social justice arena. I ask more questions, and pay closer attention. I love reading Perspectives, because they really do showcase what a diverse bunch of people we all are.

What have you done, tried, or made thanks to a post here?

This may sound silly, so to balance it out: bah, humbug!

But yes, i’ve tried to (and do) live differently, because of what’s been posted on Persephone. I feel more … aware? And better informed? And more inclined to question things, and see different perspectives?

Recipes! Tons of them. I am also hunting for a nice picture frame so I can make one of those DIY earring holders! Because how damn cute are they.

PMag has also given me a lot of information about issues that I care about, like the intersection of race and feminism, and the Occupy movement, and body acceptance.

Plus, I feel like I’ve made some amazing friendships here.
