It’s Monday morning, which means I’m trying to find a way to get as much coffee into my system as possible in the shortest amount of time. Me and coffee, we go way back.
How about you, readers? Are you coffee or tea drinkers?
Selena MacIntosh is the owner and editor of Persephone Magazine. She also fixes it when it breaks. She is fueled by Diet Coke, coffee with a lot of cream in it, and cat hair.
I quit drinking coffee in favor of healthier green tea about five months ago and I’m wavering; there is just something so satisfying about being awake during the day, which is surprisingly difficult to achieve without coffee during Winter.
I prefer tea to coffee, but my caffeine delivery system of choice is Mountain Dew.
Tea, all the way. I have a big variety of black teas so I can switch things up a bit in the morning (though I usually go for Tazo’s Awake) and tend towards Rooibos in the afternoon/evening. I’ll get some coffee if I really need a pick-me-up, but that’s almost always in the form of a mocha because I don’t really like the taste of coffee that much.
This morning I was wondering if there is a more efficient way of getting the caffeine into me. Snorting coffee grounds, maybe?
Both. Coffee mostly unless it’s late at night (and I eventually want to sleep) or I’m eatinf at my favorite Vietnamese place.
My naturopath is mean and has me off coffee and dairy, which means my much-loved morning cup of coffee is gone. :(
I love tea too though, all kinds. In fact, I am going to make some right now!
KILL THE NATUROPATH!
…er. I mean.
Sigh.
If given the option, I’ll go with a mug of tea, but I also didn’t like coffee for a long time. When I started drinking it, I was living in Dublin, and “coffee” was in fact an Americano (espresso and water). Still, since moving mid west, I’ve realized how much I miss Dunkin Donuts. And this disturbs me slightly.
I drink tea to to relax. I drink coffee to get through my day without falling asleep at my desk.
Tea drinker here! Primarily green tea and cranberry – truly scrumptious stuff. I tend not to have coffee unless having lunch with a friend, and tend to savour it (usually a mocha) all the more as a result.
It’s not that I don’t drink tea. It’s just that I don’t need tea. I need coffee. I have two separate cups in front of me right now. (Drip and mocha.)
Are you kidding? Â It’s finals time! Â I’m running on at least 4 cups a day!
Coffee, or people start getting hurt.
Coffee. With sugar and cream!
Tea, all the way. Â I’m having a giant mug of chai right now, actually :)
