Howdy do, Persephoneers! As we round the last corner on the way to the weekend, let’s make the journey a little smoother with a lunchtime poll. Nothing takes your mind off your troubles like pondering life’s great questions. Or life’s fun questions, anyway. Today’s LTP is more fun than profound, and you can find it after the break.
Inspired by Sara B’s most recent Tuesday Trivia, I want to know what your favorite board game is. Are you a Monopoly mogul? Ruthless at Risk? Boggling at Boggle? A Scrabble shark? Tell me all about it in the comments.
In the meantime, here are some pictures of classic (and a little obscure, for the youngs) board games. Can you name them?

Ooh! Settlers of Catan, Bohnanza, Scrabble, Apples to Apples, and Hand and Foot (playing cards). We recently discovered a scrabble-ish game called Bananagrams that allows you to change your words as you go–kinda fun!
FASHION PLATES AAAAAAAAHHHHHH! They were my favorite.
I wish I’d inherited my mom’s cutthroat Scrabble abilities. The woman is a genius at it. She regularly spanks me at Words With Friends.
As for me, I recently discovered that I’m a badass at Connect Four. Boyfriend and I got bored one night and went searching for a simple board game to play, came home with Connect Four, and I proceeded to kick his ass seven times in a row.
I just want to throw out there that the new category images on the main page are THE BOMB.
I have been watching a lot of 90s stuff lately.
I love them, too. So snazzy!
My favorite is carrom but I feel like that doesn’t really count since the only skill or luck involved is trying to smash the puck into your opponent’s hand so they become to crippled to beat you…. Nor is it really a board game.
Cranium and Trivial Pursuit are my faves. Though, we played Sorry last night with MiniB and I had forgotten how much fun it is.
