For us here in the States, we can finally see the weekend on the horizon. I don’t know about you guys, but Thursdays always seems to come simultaneously fast and yet also at the end of a long, horrible tunnel, every week. So I like to lighten the workaday week with a bit of a song and dance number.
I have a deep and abiding love for the musical and movie Hedwig and the Angry Inch. It’s a fantastic meditation on love, gender, sex, and soulmates – and it has a bitchin’ soundtrack. Belting out “Midnight Radio” never fails to lift my spirits. Or “Wig in a Box.” Or “Origin of Love.” There are just so many great singalong numbers.
So I ask you, friends, what song do you belt out when no one can hear you? What lifts your spirits? Talk about it in our open thread. Or anything else that’s on your mind!

Sadly, my nick name says it all. Either I belt out the Star Wars theme song or the Stargate theme song, combined with, on the case of the Stargate theme song, riffs on “Biiiiig Head! Biiiiiiigggg Heeeeeead!” Too much time spent with a music professor father means that I can make it really obnoxious too…
You so need to host a white wine and Twizzler Wednesday OT!
That’s a good idea. I’ll have to find out when the Revenge finale is.
This is embarrassing, but “You’re Just a boy” by Beyonce is for when I remember that I have had two MAJOR heartbreaks in the last year. I don’t even really like the song per se, but it does seem to trigger some emotion.
