Lunchtime Poll

Lunchtime Poll: Hooray for Spring!

I feel like I’ve been waiting for March 1st since the beginning of November. This is the day when the worst of winter is over and I can really start looking forward to planning my container garden, purchasing (and maybe even wearing) some spring duds, and the fun of camping and cottage weekends becomes a very real possibility.

So, dear readers, do you look on March 1st as a day of promise, or does it mean something else to you? What non-holiday clendar dates hold significance for you?

My food groups are cheese, bacon, and hot tea. I like studying cities and playing with my cat, Buffy.

March 1st is when I first start panicking about doing my taxes.

Ugh, what is the matter with me right now! I spent all day looking forward to working out at 6pm and now that it’s actually time to get ready I’m feeling this huge resistance out of nowhere. What is that?? How does anticipation go to anxiety/avoidance in a heartbeat?

March 1 is huge in my corner of the world.  Today is the day my company announces promotions, raises, and bonuses.  Several members of my work group, including myself are up for much-deserved promotions.  We are excited and nervous as hell.  5 hours till close of business and no word yet…
