Happy Monday, readers and book lovers; it’s time to get back in the horrible awful poll booth and send two more ladies home.
We’ll be posting the Elite Eight on Wednesday now, and then we’ll vote on the Final Four on Thursday and Friday. Adaptation: It’s the new hotness.
Today, in the YA Literary Fiction category, we’ve got the inimitable Ramona Quimby facing off against Violete, and on the adult side, we’re seeing bracket underdog Miss Marple face off against the feisty Beatrice. If I were voting, this would be the hardest pair of polls in the entire bracket for me. Since I’m not, I’m going to go have a cookie and chuckle as you all make these terrible decisions.
Vote like the wind.

This one wasn’t painful, which is a relief.
But DAMN! I thought this was going to be fun before we started. But so much of it has just been tears and sadness and hard choices.
Aw! That’s a cute-ass sad otter, he’s way cuter than Sad Pig in the sidebar.
This one was easy.
WHO AM I KIDDING THEY’RE ALL EASY NOW LYRA NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Decision? Made.
(Hello, dearie.)
Me too. Beatrice is wonderful, but Miss Marple is just too cool for school. And I have a soft spot for the older ass-kicking ladies. I want to be them when I grow up.
Ramona and Miss Marple. Done.
Didn’t even break a sweat.
(When a woman knows firearms, common poisons, the latest crime novels and knitting – I side with her.) :)
Excellent choices :-D
Me, too.
M’allright.
I’m beginning to think it was the Katniss vs Meg bracket that made P-mag wobble.
That is not a terrible hypothesis.
We should remember this for next year…
and try to avoid it.
I DON’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT.
Miss Marple vs. Beatrice? Aaaaaaaaaaaah, that’s hard.
