Lunchtime Poll

Lunchtime Poll: When Was the Last Time You Colored?

As some of you know, I’ve been working on my home office to make it the ultimate P-Mag headquarters. I’ve been digging around in the basement to find cool stuff I forgot I had, and I found a stained glass coloring book from my teaching days.

Friends, I cannot stop coloring. Ever since I found the book, I’ve been coloring for at least half an hour every night before I go to sleep, and it’s my new favorite stress reliever. (Way better than yelling at the news, which is what I used to do before bed.)  When is the last time you colored, readers?

I love coloring! I think the last time I did it was when I was with some younger relatives maybe a year or two ago. Before I had lap-hogging dogs who will barely let me use my iPad, I colored while I watched tv.

Funnily enough, I was just talking about coloring yesterday and I mentioned wishing I had some coloring books. Maybe it’s time for a trip to the store?

The whole reason I didn’t have an abortion was precisely because I knew my kiddo would provide the best ever excuse for coloring whenever the fuck I feel like it. It is a well-known fact that fetuses have no fine motor control, after all.

(Lines: I cross ’em, but I don’t color outside ’em.)

I color remarkably little for someone with an art degree. I only color my drawings rarely, something I’ve been meaning to correct. But I just bought a Cintq monitor/tablet doohicky (I am so computer literate I amaze myself sometimes) to make digital coloring easier for myself. It should be here Friday, so tomorrow night is going there is going to be a great unfucking of the computer desk in preparation.
