Yes! Â She is truly amazing! Â AND Maggie Smith plays her…so…
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
Nicely done, McGonagall. Nicely done.
I’m down for McGonagall over Stark just cuz I don’t know who Stark is. Â I keep meaning to get on the GoT bandwagon, but haven’t had time yet.
Meanwhile, I am still seriously not taking the Beatrice loss very well. Â What the hell.
YEAAAAHHH!!!
I think Sybil Ramkin would be excellent friends with Minerva McGonagall. I am pleased.
(Yes, they misspelled her name here. She is not amused.)
GRUMBLE, GRUMBLE
I love that picture!
Perfect.
I got it off Tumblr. I haven’t the heart to post the other Arya gif I found, which is Ned kissing her on the forehead. *sob*
Yesssss! She’s so badass and awesome.
YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
I’m gonna chalk this one up to the popularity of Harry Potter. Don’t get me wrong, I was a hardcore Hermione voter last year, but as awesome as McGonagall is, she doesn’t hold a candle to Arya. Not if you know Arya.
THIS. Mandatory reading of Game of Thrones for all.
I wonder if the GoT ladies will fare better next year. The second season premiere had great ratings, so I bet they’ll be a lot more fans this time next year.
I hope so. Again, HUGE Harry Potter fan here, and Hermione is kind of like my way-awesomer wizard alter-ego, but I was pretty much upset by every single GoT elimination this year (especially this one. ARYA!)
It didn’t help how many GoT characters went against each other. Blarg!
Arya won…in my heart.
Yes, but Arya won’t be eligible, and she’s my favourite :(
Freaking cosigned. If Luna Lovegood or Ginny Weasley wins next year, I’m calling foul. Nothing against Harry Potter, but variety is the spice of life, people!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
Yaaaay!
McGonagall is one of my favorite fictional characters ever.
Seconded. I like that she’s an older woman, competent and intelligent, who doesn’t need a romantic subplot. Don’t get me wrong, I love romantic subplots—and plots!— but variety is the spice of fictional female characters.
Pfft, Harry Potter characters winning twice in a row?
NEVAR.
NEVAR, I say!
Like I said yesterday.. :P
NO.
I REFUSE.
*flail*
Muahahahahaha! BOW to the Power of McGonagall! Bow, Peasant!
To take from the leaf of the lovely @flyingfox …
What do we say to bowing to McGonagall?
BOO-YA!
You know, that’s an awesome .jpg, but do really think Arya has so little class as to Not accept defeat from an honorable and worthy component? Pssh. She’s better than that.
But that’s what makes her so badass. It’s not defeat. It’s a setback. It’s never defeat.
POWERFIST!
NOOOOOOOOOO.
MCGONAGALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO. PSYCHED. While very few of my favorites made it far, and I actually didn’t have any particularly difficult choices this year, ONE OF MY FAVORITES WON!!!
‘Tis exciting.
Next year: Get some classic wimminz up in there! More Greeks! More Shakespeareans! More theater people in general (BLANCHE!)!
