The next P-Mag book club will “meet” the weekend on May 5th-6th. We’re reading The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N.K. Jemisin. The club post will go up on the 5th and remain open all weekend for conversation, questions, and observations. Hope to see everyone there!
Yeine Darr is an outcast from the barbarian north. But when her mother dies under mysterious circumstances, she is summoned to the majestic city of Sky. There, to her shock, Yeine is named an heiress to the king. But the throne of the Hundred Thousand Kingdoms is not easily won, and Yeine is thrust into a vicious power struggle with cousins she never knew she had. As she fights for her life, she draws ever closer to the secrets of her mother’s death and her family’s bloody history.
With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, Yeine will learn how perilous it can be when love and hate ““ and gods and mortals ““ are bound inseparably together. (Book description courtesy of Amazon.)

I’m going to try to be a part of this. Â I will probably fail. Â But I’m going to try!
There is no try, only do!
You’ve backed me into a corner. Â <3
I just finished it yesterday. It was SOO GOOD!
ARGH! I placed a hold and forgot to pick it up. Speed reading time!
So I finished the first two books in the trilogy, and I really want to read the third, but at the same time I don’t want the series to end.
I have that issue all of them- I tear through really good books/series to a point…and then I try to savor the last bits before it’s over ;)
I just finished the book last night- I think I’m going have to go back and re-read between now and next weekend. The whole thing as really interesting, and I can’t wait to hear what others have to say!
