I don’t know if it’s spring fever or what, but I’ve gotten way lazier about cooking lately. My motivation has just gone down the drain, and to combat it, I’ve started seeking out ridiculously easy recipes.
This chicken dish is one. I mean, it has a grand total of four ingredients, and you pretty much just throw “˜em in your slow cooker and wait until the timer dings. It doesn’t get any easier than that. Oh, and to be extra lazy, I got this recipe from Crock Pot itself. Who better to tell me how to make yummy things in their own device?
Anyway, if you are struck with culinary ennui one of these days, try this preposterously easy recipe.
Easy Cheesy BBQ Chicken
6 boneless, skinless chicken breast (about 1½ pounds)
1 bottle (26 ounces) barbecue sauce
6 slices bacon
6 slices swiss cheese
Place chicken in slow cooker. Cover with barbecue sauce. Cover; cook on low 8 to 9 hours.
Before serving, cut bacon slices in half. Cook bacon in microwave or on stove top. Place two pieces cooked bacon on each chicken breast in slow cooker. Top with cheese. Cover; cook on high until cheese melts.

I will be making this tomorrow with pork chops. I bet it will work the same.
I’ll let you know how it turns out.
Mmm, that sounds fantastic!
Oh, it is, I promise! I used Jack Daniel’s BBQ sauce which just made it extra yum-tastic.
I just bought that BBQ Sauce, now I’m excited to try this!
