It’s Time for the Badass Ladies of TV Bracket!

For the next several weeks, we’ll be creating a field of 64 contenders, then whittling it back down to one. There can only be one. 

Like Middlemarch Madness, the top four contenders from last year are NOT eligible this year, so bid your dreams of Buffy, Willow, Jane Lane, and Leslie Knope as this year’s winner goodbye. I know this is hard, but it will be okay. There are so many wonderful female characters in TV land, we need to let the other women have a chance.

We’ll be opening up nominations in the next four days in four categories.

For a few of the women, it may be difficult to determine how old their characters are, so we’ll decide together, with some voting thrown in if we need it.

So, start plotting your nominations now; tomorrow we’ll be coming up with a list of female characters under 25 in comedy.  In the meantime, you may start campaigning in the comments. With or without .gifs.
