This lunchtime poll is giving everybody a $20 gift certificate to the Internet!
Well, not really. Polls usually ask what you’d do if you won a million dollars, but we’re going to be a bit more realistic today. What completely frivolous thing(s) would you buy if you suddenly had $20 to spend on anything you want? (And while we’re at it, assume free shipping is part of the deal.) Nothing practical, no taking care of gifts for someone else, and it has to be something totally fun. How would you spoil yourselves?

I would buy kickass shoe.

Since I just went on a book-buying spree (my usual guilty pleasure buy), I’d probably just throw the 20 in my wallet until I go out to dinner with friends or something. I’m boring, but I like being content with my life, which tends to happen when I have a plethora of books. I just got in a shipment of 15 books and have 2 more on the way. :D
Nail polish. From one of the many indie suppliers that I always see swatches for but shipping to Canada usually negates the draw to buy.
Ah yes, shipping to Canada… it definitely prevents a lot of online purchases for me and probably keeps a lot of extra cash in my bank account.
Probably a volume or two of Transmetropolitan. I love that comic. Borrowed all the trade paperbacks from the library a while back, but I wanna own them.
Spoonflower fabric! Which I will buy anyway, because I do have a $10 gift certificate. I’m going to get fabric to make a skirt. Or a Doctor Who quilt. Hmm.
