Fall Bracket II: Meet Your Sweet Sixteen

It’s a really, really good sweet sixteen. I compared it to last year’s, and it was fascinating to see how different they are.

Without further ado…

Comedy Youngs

Lisa Simpson (The Simpsons) beat Phoebe Buffay (Friends)

Miss Piggy (The Muppet Show) beat Annie (Community)

Lucy Ricardo (I Love Lucy) beat Lindsay Weir (Freaks and Geeks)

Darlene Conner (Roseanne) beat (by one vote) Topanga (Boy Meets World)

Drama Youngs

Veronica Mars beat Cordelia Chase (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel)

Arya Stark (Game of Thrones) beat Peggy Oleson (Mad Men) by not as much as I would have expected, it was within 10 votes.

Gabrielle (Xena: Warrior Princess) beat Angela Chase (My So Called Life)

Echo (Dollhouse) beat Claire Fischer (Six Feet Under)

Comedy Olds

Liz Lemon (30 Rock) beat Karen Walker (Will and Grace)

The Goddamn Golden Girls beat The Women Of Saturday Night Live

Carla Espinoza (Scrubs) beat Leela (Futurama)

Clair Huxtable (The Cosby Show) beat Patsy and Edina (Absolutely Fabulous)

Drama Olds

The Dowager Countess (Downton Abbey) beat Zoe Washburne (Firefly)

Donna Noble (Doctor Who) beat Lorelei Gilmore (Gilmore Girls)

Fuck Yeah Jessica Fletcher (Murder, She Wrote) beat Pam (True Blood)

CJ Cregg (The West Wing) beat Miranda Bailey (Grey’s Anatomy)

This week’s voting will be a little different. We’ll be voting on all the comedy women tomorrow, and all the drama women on Wednesday. The polls will be open all week, until at least Saturday the 22nd, and like the past two weeks, the winners will be announced on Monday, one week from today.

Here’s the updated bracket, so you can see who you’ll be voting for when.
