There is magic within
There is magic without
Follow me and you’ll learn
Just what life’s all about.
– Kate Bush
Yesterday, amid the birthday fun, I put up the first of our musical posts. So far we’ve covered songs about ghosts, and we have vampires and monsters yet to come. But today we’re crafting a list about magic. (Crafting, get it? HAHAHA.)
By the way, if you do a google image search for witches, the results are all “sexxxxxxxxy” witches. Who do sex stuff. With magic. And by magic, I mean their vaginas.
“All Souls Night” – Loreena McKennitt
“Bell, Book, Candle” – Eddi Reader
“I Can Hardly Wait” – Placebo (PJ Harvey Cover)
“I Put a Spell on You” – Nina Simone
“I was Made to Love Magic” – Nick Drake
“Fire Woman” – The Cult
“Magic Man” – Heart
“Mr. Crowley” – Ozzy Osborne
“Season of the Witch” – Donovan (there are some really great covers of this one out there, but I think Donovan’s original just can’t be beat)
“She’s Got a New Spell” – Billy Bragg
“Spellbound” – Souxie and the Banshees
“Strange Brew” – Cream
“Teenage Witch” – Eels
“The Magician” – Kate Bush
“The Spell” – Black Heart Procession
“Voodoo Voodoo” – Lavern Baker
“Voodoo” – Godsmack
“Waking the Witch” – Kate Bush
“Walk on Gilded Splinters” – Dr. John
“Wicked Annabella” – The Kinks
“Witch” – Belly
“Witch” – The Cult
So tell me, bats, what songs am I missing from this list? What spells would you add here?

Great list!
Though this doesn’t really mesh with your other songs, I’d gladly add Frank Sinatra’s Witchcraft.

‘I Put A Spell On You’ will never not remind me of Hocus Pocus.
Bette Midler did a great job with that song. I love both versions but for Halloween, I always go for the Hocus Pocus version. :-D
Great list, I have only one idea for an addition.
