Happy Thursday, Persepherinos!
I don’t know about you, but the theme of my week has been “cold.” It’s excruciatingly cold here, I have a head cold, and everyone I’ve encountered is being pretty cold, too. Oh, humanity. You’re just terrible sometimes.
How about all of you? Does your week have a theme? If so, I’m hoping it’s something fun, like “puppies” or “cupcakes” or “Daniel Craig shirtless.”

The theme of my week has also been illness, but it’s more of a stomach bug that’s making me nauseous and exhausted all the time.
Needless to say, this is very bad timing since my semester ends in about two weeks.
I think everyone had a cold this week But my theme for the week is Accomplishment. I taught myself how to crochet and have made 2 scarves, a pair of wristwarmers and a hat so far this week. I also finished the lettering portion of my second subversive cross stitch grouping. Bugger off, you wanker is already hung; Take my balls (in Greek) is lettered. Just have to add the Greek flag to it, then it’s onto Go fart in the flowers (in French) w/ a Quebec flag, and to finish off with a good ol’ American GTFO. That one’s getting 2 American flags.
If “shirking” was a theme, that would be it for the week. I have been putting off pretty much anything and everything that I can. Futzed around at work, made lists of other things I need to do (but not necessarily doing them), conveniently ‘forgetting’ to write that email or make that call… Okay, so Shirking with a touch of Anti-Social. I definitely second the “I just want to curl up in bed and read/knit/sleep” urge.
Cold is also my theme this week. I don’t know if I could survive another winter here.
The second theme this week is tired. Full week of teaching and my students are rambunctious at the moment. I basically want to crawl in bed and sleep all weekend.
This week’s theme is “change.” The Mister got a new job and it looks like we’re going to be moving. Not immediately, because we’ll have to sell our house, but yeah, lots of change.
I’m with you on the cold front with one pretty nice exception. Everyone I’ve run into has been super nice this week. One girl even went out of her way to make sure I was doing okay after I missed Bible study last night. No guilt trips or anything, just the offer of soup. It was really nice. I hope someone shows you that kind of positivity soon.
