Welcome to another wonderful day here at Persephone, friends. I hope everyone had a chance to check in with us yesterday and tell us about your fantastic adventures while we were on break.
This new year is still wet behind the ears, so I find myself still thinking about resolutions. Promises, really. I’m curious to know what new year resolutions you were able to keep. They don’t have to be from last year – just a general tally of how the gung-ho, fresh new things attitude lasts you over the course of a calender year.
Tell me all about it in the comments.

I was good about resolutions to learn more about economics and to read more. Most of my other ones tend to pitter out.
My general, be a great mom and try a new skill, lasts me through the year. But anything specific….lose weight or some such stuff….doesn’t work.
That’s probably the key. Anything too specific sets you up for failure.
I’ve been really good about my resolution from 2-3 years ago about recycling more. None of my others ever tend to work out very well, but I think this year I’m going to try to procrastinate less and make more physical to-do lists so that I don’t slack off on things. Of course, it’s the 3rd and I haven’t started yet, so the procrastination is currently winning. I have gotten a couple chores done that I’ve been putting off!
You can do it!
More veggies, more running (if this stupid heel gives up), more reading. And finally get around to my unicorn tattoo.
Every year I say ‘this is the year I take up running’ and every year I give up. This year I gave up on saying it. :)
