Let’s kick off this week’s voting with a bang, shall we?
Today we’ve got two controversial #1 seeds going up against some well-loved (relative) underdogs. I’m very curious to see how this turns out.
*Seed #1 Luna Lovegood, Harry Potter series, by J.K. Rowling v. seed #4 Lyra Belacqua, His Dark Materials trilogy, by Philip Pullman
[myo_poll poll = 114062 “box” perc = “yes”]
*Seed #1 Offred, The Handmaid’s Tale, by Margaret Atwood v. seed #5 Morgaine, The Mists of Avalon, by Marion Bradley Zimmer
[myo_poll poll = 114064 “box” perc = “yes”]

Voting is now closed! Thanks, y’all.
Excellent.
TEAM LYRA OR GTFO
It’s closer than I would have guessed, at least we’re going down swinging :-D
Come on, Lyra!
Offred … always Offred.
Not a Lyra fan simply due to having never gotten into the books she’s in, but Luna is a sweet goofball. Not a badass. So you have my vote there, Lyra people.
Morgaine is a badass bitch to the extreme. She’s active in changing her life, while Offred is passive and allows herself to be led.
Yes yes yes yes YES! (Except for the not a Lyra fan part, but y’know what, everything else you said is so awesome that I’m still going with YES!)
I’ll get around to reading those books eventually, and I’ll probably like her. So consider me a pre-fan?
Haha, works for me. Obviously there are many great books I haven’t read too, so I can’t fault you for not having read these. I do HIGHLY recommend them though – some of the best fantasy (straight up, I’m not going to even limit this by intended age range) I’ve ever read.
I voted Luna because I know it will piss off some people. How old am I again? I don’t know, shark week took all my rational thinking.
Lyra has a daemon, she wins at life anyway.
I want to vote for Luna and Lyra!!
But if you ask yourself who is truly the biggest badass, I think the answer becomes clear. Lyra, among many other things, was a key part of saving ALL THE WORLDS. Team Lyra FTW!
By that I mean, I hope you voted for Lyra!
I like you.
That post with the .gif is supposed to say “I like you.” So this one says it, instead.

I think our comment images plugin is broken. DAGNABIT! This is the fourth plugin we’ve tried.
Haha, well thanks! And um, sorry about the images thingie. Best of luck finding one that works!
